2014 Viking Track & Field

Welcome to the 2014 Track & Field season at Viking and River Trail Schools!

We will offer some optional conditioning workouts before Spring Break for students who would like to prepare for tryouts. These workouts will take place in the Viking gym. Please have a ride waiting outside the gym at 3:30.

Tryouts will begin after Spring Break. Arrive with comfortable clothes and shoes to run in. There is a good chance we will hold tryouts outside, so bring comfortable outerwear also!

If you cannot attend one of the tryout days, please let your coach know ahead of time to insure that he can give you enough attention on the day(s) you are there. Please be picked up at the gym entrance at 4:00 during tryouts. There will be no phones available in the gym to call for a ride. A complete calendar will be given to athletes who make the team. The final team rosters will be posted at several locations in Viking and River Trail as well as this website as soon as possible after tryouts end. There are four teams in track: 8th grade boys, 8th grade girls, 7th grade boys, and 7th grade girls. The 6th and 7th grade are combined and run as one team at the 7th grade level.
